ECA values the contribution of the many organizations working toward the preservation of a livable planet and we believe that collaboration is what will move us more quickly toward that goal.

ECA and its partner organizations support one another in reaching our common goal of addressing climate change.

Collaborative Partnerships

ECA develops Collaborative Partnerships with climate related organizations to fulfill our mission and engage elders in climate action at a national level.  We work with the organization to develop partnership projects that closely align to the vision and core values of ECA. Collaborations include projects, actions and events that are relevant to our membership and have a large geographic scope.

As a National ECA Collaborative Partner, we ask your organization

  • Potentially work with ECA to develop a project or tie into an existing project
  • Share information/data gained through the partnership project
  • Work to cross publicize the project
  • Publicize and encourage your elder members to participate in ECA national actions.
  • Allow us to recognize you as a partner organization on the ECA website, in printed materials and at ECA events.
  • Allow us to include your logo and a link to your organization on the ECA website.
  • If possible, include on your website the ECA logo and a link to our website.

DearTomorrow.org

DearTomorrow.org

DearTomorrow is a digital and archive project where people share letters, photos and videos to their children, family or future self about their promise to take action on climate change. Messages are shared on deartomorrow.org and through social media, traditional media and arts projects to increase motivation and open up a conversation about why we need to act now on climate change.

Our goal is to reach over 20 million people with 10,000 personal messages by 2020. We are also creating a long-term archive to preserve these voices for future generations.

Environmental Voter Project

The Environmental Voter Project aims to significantly increase voter demand for progressive environmental policy by identifying inactive environmentalists and then turning them into consistent activists and voters.

ECA has been partnered with EVP on the Elders Promote the Vote project since 2018. We held hundreds of phone and text banks leading up to the 2020 election and ECA’s volunteers reached over 1 million voters since 2018. We continue our work into 2022 with phone banking and postcarding to inactive voters.  Join Elders Promote the Vote and help us reach voters!

Moms Clean Air Force

Moms Clean Air Force

Moms have passion and power — an unbeatable combination. We are harnessing the strength of mother love to fight back against polluters. Moms are uniting to come out in strength for our kids’ right to clean air — just as our parents fought for us, forty years ago, to get the Clean Air Act signed into law by President Richard Nixon. Moms Clean Air Force is nonpartisan–because clean air should be more important than politics.

Mothers and Others for Clean Air

Mothers and Others for Clean Air

Mothers & Others For Clean Air creates partnerships between scientists, healthcare providers, parents, teachers, youth, and organizations to facilitate collective learning and action in the southeast. Our mission is to protect children’s health by reducing the impacts of air pollution and climate change throughout the Southeast. We work across a 10 state region: Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida.

Over the last few years we have listened to our communities and allies as well as reviewed all science based researching across the southeast to ensure our next phase of work is inclusive and addresses the most pressing needs for climate work in the southeast. We heard loud and clear education and educational resources to move people to action are the greatest need. Education of the public, decision makers, school communities and the medical community on the serious health conditions resulting from both air pollution and climate change so that change can happen.

The next greatest need was connection and dialogue among these communities which is why we are building The Healthy Air Alliance of the Southeast. It was created with an understanding that connecting and learning from each other is critical to solving environmental health issues, but so is getting directly involved by taking actions. The Alliance builds the capacity of the movement by breaking down silos, sharing existing resources, developing new science-based shareable digital resources with community input, and offering tailored online training. It also provides opportunities for concerned citizens and professionals advocate directly with decision makers through one-on-one meetings or testimonies, talking to the media or writing articles or opinion pieces.

Youth Climate Allies

ECA is proud of our intergenerational partnerships with a number of Youth Organizations.  It is critical that we elders support their voice and the fight for their future.

  • Our Children’s Trust

  • The Climate Reporter

  • YEA! Youth Entertainment Activists & Can You Hear Us?

  • Youth Climate Finance Alliance

  • Zero Hour

Our Children’s Trust

Our Children’s Trust

Our Children’s Trust elevates the voice of youth to secure the legal right to a stable climate and healthy atmosphere for the benefit of all present and future generations. Through our programs, youth participate in advocacy, public education and civic engagement to ensure the viability of all natural systems in accordance with science.

Our mission is to protect earth’s atmosphere and natural systems for present and future generations. We lead a game-changing legal campaign seeking systemic, science-based emissions reductions and climate recovery policy at all levels of government. We give young people, those with most at stake in the climate crisis, a voice to favorably impact their futures.

The Climate Reporter

The Climate Reporter

An international environmental news organization which is a building to become the uniting news organization for the environmental movement. We are youth-led news that has informing the public about the environmental movement. Our mission is to call for truth and clarity in environmental journalism.

YEA! Youth Entertainment Activists & Can You Hear Us?

YEA! Youth Entertainment Activists

YEA! is the hub for activism in entertainment. As a coalition, we provide tools and resources for our community of 3000+ Hollywood leaders to make an impact in their industry and in the world.

CAN YOU HEAR US? is an impact campaign for I Am Greta, a Hulu Original Documentary.

This campaign works to amplify grassroots climate action to reframe our relationship with the planet. To do this, we need all youth to join in the movement. We need collaboration across generations. We need our families and friends to support leaders who will protect our resources.

ECA has worked with YEA! and Can You Hear Us on intergenerational programming.

Youth Climate Finance Alliance

Youth Climate Finance Alliance

We are proud to be a movement partner of the Youth Climate Finance Alliance, which grew out of the US Climate Strike Coalition.  We support, uplift and amplify and join the youth movement in any ways we can.

In 2021, young people are declaring an end to the era of fossil fuels. Future Coalition, along with other leading climate justice groups, are organizing a multi-layered campaign to end the fossil fuel industry by targeting institutions that continue to enable it through financing and funding.

For too long, the fossil fuel industry along with banks, institutional investors, insurance companies, and more have stayed in the shadows while they’ve knowingly continued to fuel the climate crisis. This must end. The Youth Climate Finance Alliance is a unifying and integrative campaign that is supporting the decentralized nature of the climate justice movement, uplifting Black, Indigenous, POC, youth, and local leaders, and kicking off a new wave of grassroots and mainstream energy. Building off of the work Future Coalition did with the Climate Strikes in 2019 and 2020, Youth Climate Finance Alliance allows young people to further hone our collective strategy, leverage our skills, and scale our movement.

Zero Hour

Zero Hour

The mission of the Zero Hour movement is to center the voices of diverse youth in the conversation around climate and environmental justice. Zero Hour is a youth-led movement creating entry points, training, and resources for new young activists and organizers (and adults who support our vision) wanting to take concrete action around climate change. Together, we are a movement of unstoppable youth organizing to protect our rights and access to the natural resources and a clean, safe, and healthy environment that will ensure a livable future where we not just survive, but flourish.
