Elders Climate Action is hosting a webinar series for elders who want to know how to plan and implement home electrification. Your questions about electrification and ways to help pay for it will be answered.
Sean Armstrong of Redwood Energy, a renowned electrification authority, will be our guest speaker. Sean will discuss the many electrification options for eliminating fossil fuel in your home, how to maximize benefits and minimize installation costs and the pitfalls to avoid. And you will have an opportunity to have your specific questions answered.
We will explore why home electrification is important for our health, a healthy planet and addressing the climate crisis. We’ll discuss how to maximize benefits, compare electric options, minimize installation costs, and avoid cost and design pitfalls. And we’ll review how electrification policy advocacy is critical in addressing the climate crisis.

 | Sean Armstrong is the Managing Principal of Redwood Energy. His firm was the designer of fully half of the all-electric residences built in California and one quarter of the Zero Net Energy residences built in North America between 2011 and 2020. He has co-authored 6 guides to building electrification including: A Pocket Guide to All Electric Retrofits of Single Family Retrofits, A Pocket Guide To Electric Transportation 2023, and A Pocket Guide to All Electric Commercial Retrofits. He helped develop 120-volt heat pump water heaters and has provided legal and technical support to 80 gas bans nation-wide. Sean has received awards including the 2017 Grand Prize World Habitat Award from the United Nations. He has been inducted into California’s Clean Energy Hall of Fame. |
