Join us for a special ECA Intergenerational Action Month Event bringing together youth and elder activists for a panel discussion inspired by the powerful new film, To The End. This film captures the rise of a new generation of leaders behind the most sweeping climate change legislation in US history. Filmed over the course of four years, the documentary includes up-to-the-minute footage of last year‘s historical climate bill, the Inflation Reduction Act. Following four important changemakers — including Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Varshini Prakash, climate activist, Rihana Gunn-Wright, climate policy writer, and Alexandria Rojas political strategist — this film allows us to witness the fear, struggle and desperation youth are feeling in their fight for a livable future amidst the challenges of politics, power and climate change. 

Register now.  You will receive a link to screen the film To The End to watch on your own (available June 20-22), then join Elders Climate Action for an Intergenerational Panel Discussion on June 22 at 7 – 8:30 PM ET.  We will be joined by youth activists who will discuss what it takes to push through their fears to protect their own future and the tactics they are using to raise their voices and make change. We will discuss what will be needed from all of us to prevent 1.5 degrees of global warming. We’ll share a few clips from the film for the opportunity to better understand and strategize about what actions we can take next to protect a livable planet. Documentaries like this are essential because they raise awareness about the urgency of the climate crisis, provide a platform for climate experts and activists to educate audiences and mobilize them  to demand change from policy makers and corporations. Following the1-hour panel discussion, participants will have the opportunity to join breakout rooms and discuss personal reactions and strategies for action in small groups (20 minutes). We will come back together for a brief closing by 8:30 PM ET (10 minutes).
