Ashita Gona from RMI will discuss the importance of addressing fossil fuel combustion in buildings to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address public health, and she will present policy options to facilitate market transformation for electrified alternatives.

About the Speaker

Ashita Gona is a Senior Associate on the Carbon-Free Buildings program, where she works with stakeholders in the Mid-Atlantic to transition the region’s buildings away from fossil fuels.

Ashita previously worked as a communications associate at Climate Nexus, where she found opportunities to promote building and appliance electrification measures in the media. Ashita has also previously worked as an environmental journalism fellow, as an intern at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and as a freelance writer.
